SPRING IS HERE!!

It's a new week and it certainly feels as though spring is in the air. I'm not going to be that easily fooled though, as we have had snow in Johannesburg in September before. But for the time being I will just carry on enjoying the beautiful weather. My husband and I and two very special friends were away in the bush this weekend. We had a wonderful time, just relaxing! The layout "little MISS" is my entry on Lets Scrap for the sketch challenge
8-25-10. The photographs of my granddaughter were taken in our garden two weeks ago. She was playing "mom mom" and then played "Simon says". Thanks for stopping by to have a look and have a lovely week!

Sketchy Thursday Sketch 8.26

I am heading off to the bush tomorrow for a couple of days and so I thought I would load my LO for Sketchy Thursday sketch 8.26 before I went. I have decided that I quite enjoy doing vintage LO's and so I did this LO of my grandparents. Unfortunately, I never knew them that well as they all passed on when I was still very young. The good thing is that I do have some recollection and so these photos have become very special! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for visiting!

Vintage LO with hidden Journalling

This is my layout for Betty Anne's challenge on Lets Scrap due tomorrow. We had to do a vintage LO with hidden journalling. I have photos from my late mom, which I scanned and printed. My journalling is folded into the small envelopes at the bottom of the left page. I have decided that I quite enjoy doing vintage LO's and I am going to start a heritage album!!

Cherie's weekly sketch, which came out yesterday on Lets Scrap is a really cool sketch if you enjoy putting loads of photos on your LO. There is space for 20 photos. Go onto Lets Scrap and have a look at what the DT came up with!!

TWO OF MY BIGGEST SOURCES OF INSPIRATION

Two of my biggest sources of inspiration just have to be my grandchildren. Its really weird but no matter how awful your paper and embellishments are your LO's are still gorgeous because the kids are so cute. You never land up with a LO that you think is awful. Thanks for stopping by to have a look. Have a happy day!!!

A NEW WEEK

Good morning. Happy Monday morning and hope you have a good week. On the Lets Scrap page we are given the most amazing sketches and it's up to us to interpret the sketch any which way. The recent sketch was one that I thought would be great to do a vintage LO with. This is my interpretation of the sketch. The photos are of my parents wedding in 1957. The LO was very well received by all at Lets Scrap. Hope you like it!

Hi everyone. Welcome to my blog. This is a new and exciting adventure for me and I hope that you will enjoy my creative journey with me. August has been a really exciting month for me. Both my son and grandson celebrate their birthdays in August and so we have had a lot of fun family time. Added to this, I submitted two layouts to the local scrapping mag called Scrapping & Kie. This was the first time I had ever submitted anything for publication and JOY, they published both. There was a lot of shrieking and shouting going on when we realised that my stuff was actually in a mag, but what a lot of fun!!!!! these are the two pages that were published. Thank you for visiting.
